Tricks for sleeping babies:
At first it’s endless, getting up all night feeding a crying baby girl, then I decided I had enough. I was going to change our schedule:
Last bottle at 9:00 pm, three hours later Bianca is crying for her bottle, I checked her to see if she had a wet diaper, yep, ok took care of that, she continued to cry, comforted her, closed the
door.
Three hours later, she’s crying again, rest assured made her comfortable again, and again, this went on for 2 nights, the endless 3 hour rituals, but then the 3rd night came, I put Bianca down for night, night time, then my internal clock turned on waiting for her to wake at midnight, finally dosed off at 1:00am and believe it or not, woke at 6:30 am and still a sleeping Bianca!
So, it was worth it, listening to all the crying, and all the comforting, and now she is 17 months old still sleeping
10 to 12 hours at time. Even with teething and shots.
Having a consistent routine helps also:
1. Feeding Schedules: We eat at 8:00 am, 12:00 pm, 5:30 pm and snacks and bottle in between. We always feed veggies first, then meats, then fruits, Bianca eats everything in site! She has never been sick in her little life!
2. Naps are a must: 10:00-12:00, and 2:30-4:30. As we like our beauty sleep, so do our children!
3. Baths: Every night at 7:00 pm there is bath-time and fun time playing with the tubby toys, and Mom and Dad trade off!
4. Reading Time: 7:30, means it time for 30 minutes of snuggling and reading, even if it’s just pointing at pictures!
5. Bedtime: 8:00 pm Bianca goes to bed with no crying, screaming, nothing but loves and kisses!
Night, night Bianca!
