Traveling with Baby: What You Need to Pack

Top 5 Necessities for a Stress Free Airplane Trip

Vacations with babies can be both fun and stressful. Parents do not like to leave their little ones with babysitters when vacationing, so being a great parent we bring them along with us. Travel by airplane can be difficult enough at times, without fear that a crying baby will upset other
passengers. So what can us as parents pack for our babies to keep them happy during our flight? Here are a list of must have items to consider packing for your baby if you want a pleasurable flight.

One – Toys can bring great pleasure to a baby. A favorite stuffed animal that lights up can hold a babies attention for quite some time. Toy cell phones that have real sounds can keep their attention also.

Two – Be sure to bring plenty of food for your baby. Babies tend to eat more frequent than adults do. They can become fussy and cranky if they get hungry enough. If your baby is old enough for finger foods bring that along as a treat for him or her to snack on during the flight. Bring plenty of formula for feeding, and juice for quenching thirst when formula just is not cutting it.

Three – Diapers and diaper wipes are necessary to bring. No baby wants to have a dirty diaper during a four or more hour airplane ride. Diaper wipes are also good to clean up any unexpected mess your baby may make during the flight.

Four – Be sure to pack a blanket for your little one. Airplanes can become cold at times and he or she will want a little extra warmth.

Five – If your baby is teething pack a teething ring. You may also consider bringing along baby orajel or baby anbesol to relieve the pain from teething.

Six – Bring plenty of outfits for your baby. Babies have accidents from leaky diapers and dropping or spitting their food out.

Seven – Medical insurance information should be packed as well. Babies can become sick at any given moment. You will need your insurance information for that unexpected doctor visit.

Traveling with your baby does not have to be a stressful time for you or your baby. Taking simple steps to ensure a safe and happy plane ride is all it will take. Your baby and the passengers aboard the airplane will thank you for it later.
